Rules for 2011
Continuing with the policy from previous years the NRC
asks that we obey the following rules:
- Cyclists will
not be permitted to warm up on the Council roads until the
north and east gates have been closed.
- Sandwich boards
warning motorists will be placed at all intersections and a traffic
marshal will be posted.
- Cyclists will be
warned (at the start of each event) that the roads are open to traffic
and thus all riders must yield the right of way to all other vehicles
and must obey all traffic procedures both entering and leaving the NRC,
including the proper use of the traffic circle at Montreal Rd.
- All debris will be
removed from the site following each race.
- Each cyclist signs
an OCA approved waiver stating that the NRC, OCA, Seenite Sports will
not be responsible for any damages to property or injuries caused on the
property.
- At any time the race
manager can also request a rider to discontinue racing if the race
manager deems that the rider is a danger to himself,
other athletes, or has disregarded any of the rules stated in this memo.
Notes
- A-Level athletes
will not be able to ride the B-Crit without approval from the race
organizer.
- B-Level athletes
will not be able to ride the A-Crit without approval from the race
organizer. If you are a B-Level athlete and you are dropped from an
A-Level race then you will not be able to participate in another A-Level
race until the organizer feels that you can be competitive. If you win
you will not be allowed to ride another B-Crit.
- Women may
participate in both the A- and B-races unless asked by the organizer not
